Hints:
In the game there are two options: Use auto invest that gives like 6-8%; then there is do it yourself. Do your own investing. In the beginning of the game take your money and put it into the company that has the lowest share cost. Save the game. Then advance it a day. If the stock goes up then save it again and advance it to the next day. If it goes down then load the save game and try again. It will randomly increase or lower the market. After some time the market will not really go up any more, or if you try like 3-4 times and it keeps going down, then sell all your stock and buy another cheap company and repeat. So if you have one million shares and it goes up 1 dollar then you made 1 million dollars. Save it, and then advance to the next day. If you do this right and keep it up, then you'll have enough money by the first mission to buy a company and use it for yourself, along with buying 200 researchers for each field. Then you'll have all the topics researched really fast. Like having Choppers with rockets before the computer has anti-aircraft guns.

By the end of the game you will have billions of dollars and be able to own several other companies. Besides, it is really fun to have 100 million in stock and watch it go up by the 100 millions. At first stick to cheap stock. Then when you have enough money buy stock in the bigger places that have more shares to sell. After this, the game is a piece of cake.
