Unlock the Car Type 930:
Beat The four Devos team, all the other cars, and the four Devils.
Unlock the Honda S2000:
Beat The Four Devos team.
Unlock the Porsche 911:
Unlock the Honda S2000. Then beat the other death cars.
Unlock the Old Datsun:
Race and win 200 quick races in a row to unlock the old Datsun.
Extra Parts:
After beating Quest Mode, you will unlock extra parts under MUFFLERS
and AERO. *Muffler #7 will now be selectable. *1 Extra Wing is also
added.
Free car (Japanese version):
Earn enough money to purchase the desired car. Then when selecting a license plate number, press Y to get a random selection. If all numbers turn out to be "7", that car will be free. Press B for another attempt if those numbers did not appear. Answer "No" when asked if you want the car to start again.
Full speed in quest mode:
At the "Assist Shifting" menu, press Y. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Then the player and opponent car can reach full speed after a win or lose battle in quest mode.
Enable rival pointers in quest mode:
At the "Assist Shifting" menu, press L or R. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound.
Alternate replay view:
At the post-race screen, hold L + R and press A to select the "Replay" option to view the replay from behind your car.
Avoid a loss record:
Press Start and return to the main menu if your car is going to lose the race. The game will not mark your opponent as the winning car.
Easy CP:
Find a rival with a relatively large purse (North
Star, SS Limited's team leader, works well in the
early game with 400 CP). Challenge the rival and
after you beat him pull over to the side of the
road and wait for him to pass you (should only
take a few seconds). Challenge him again and
repeat as you like. This method is good for an
easy 1.5K CP each time as early as the 2nd day.
Instant Victory:
After the 3-2-1-Go countdown, hold L + R and press A on controller two.
Secret paint schemes:
Flaming RX-7 (Japanese version):
Defeat the Midnight Cinderella. Buy car type-FD and do not change any of the letters for the license plate. Enter dot-1-3-5 as the license plate number. A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Striped Supra (Japanese version):
Defeat Exhaust Eve. Buy car type JZA80 and pick the Japanese symbol that is three spaces to the right. Enter dot-1-3-9 as the license plate number. A sound will confirm correct code entry.
Crimson Demon Skyline (Japanese version):
Defeat every car. Buy car type-R34 (it will be unlocked after completing the game). Pick the Japanese symbol ten spaces to the right. Type in dot-1-3-8. A sound will confirm correct code entry.
North American version cars:
Defeat every Deva and Devil. If you want one of their secret paint schemes, enter D at the end of the name. For example, if you want the Midnight Cinderella's paint, the name would be Type-FDD. Note: This trick does not work for the NSX's flaming paint scheme.
