Resident Evil 2 cheats:


Trick - Rocket Launcher

Performing this trick will allow you to pick up the Rocket Launcher with infinite rockets. Beat either character's Scenario B with a B Ranking or better without saving once. After you've done this the Rocket Launcher will appear in the next game you start inside the first chest. Note: In order for this trick to work you must start your new game over the file in which you received your B Ranking.


Secret Character Tofu

Performing this trick will allow you to play an extra scenario with a character named Tofu. Beat the following scenarios in this order with a B Ranking or better all on the same file: Leon A, Claire B, Leon A, Claire B, Leon A, and Claire B. Go to the "Load Game" menu and you will see a file titled "Tofu/00". Note: You must have obtained Hunk's scenario and have it saved on one of your other files in order for this to work.


Invincibility:

At the load game screen, press Down, Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Left, L, R, R, L, C-Up, C-Down.


Infinite ammunition:

At the load game screen, press Up, Up, Up, Up, Right, Right, Right, Right, L, R, L, R, C-Right, C-Left.


Unlock Hunk (The Fourth Survivor):

At the load game screen, press Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, L, R, C-Up, C-Right, C-Down, C-Left.


Unlock Tofu:

At the load game screen, press Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, L, R, C-Up, C-Left, C-Down, C-Right.


New suit & gun:

You have to make it to the police station with out picking up anything. Enter the police station and pick up
the bullets on the desk then head back outside go down the stairs and there will be a zombie down there.
He is hard to kill but when you do search him you will find a key go back in and when you get tothe dark
room their will be a locker and you can open it and find a new suit and gun...


Blow up Alligator:

At the aligator with leon or claire there is a yellow butten on the wall if you push it a gas canastor
will fall out of the wall the alligator will grab it in its mouth and you shot at the canastor with your
handgun and the alligator will blow to bits.


Extreme Battle Mode:

You must beat both characters A and B senerios to achive the
extreme battle mode. Then after you beat the first level in it Ada
becomes the next character that you can choose.


Picture of The S.T.A.R.S Team:

In the room on the second floor in the racoon police department there is a desk on the far end of the room.
The desk is by a bunce of badges. Over where the bookshelf is, there is a little portrait. Click on the picture
and you will see the whole S.T.A.R.S team.


How to defeat William (first time) easily:

You encounter William twice in the game, and face 3 of his stages. You face
him in his second when you are going to the lab, you need heavy guns, Claire
should use the grenade launcher (loaded with acid and flame rounds of
course), because the spark shot has too much recoil and a limited range, so
you'll end up using more health items than needed, and Leon should use his
Custom shotgun and a little magnum wouldn't hurt, though you really don't
want to use more than a clip. put distance between you and William so you
can plug him from a safe distance, and stay to a side of the walkway, so if
he gets close, you have a change to juke him and run along the other side,
repeat as necessary. (Leon can even use his Custom handgun, if you found the
parts, on automatic)


How to defeat William (last fight) easily:

In Scenario A, you face William again at the room where you call the large
elevator. If Claire found it, use the submachine gun and he's as easy as
pie, when he transforms, whip out that grenade launcher and put some grenade
rounds right into that big mouth of his, for Leon, use that flamethrower, or
if you decided to take it, the submachine gun for the first round, when he
transforms, finish off the flameshrower on him and use that Custom Magnum if
you got it, otherwise the regular magnum or upgraded shotgun work well, but
he bounces around a lot, so make sure you bring plenty of health items, and
when he goes into his transformed stage, he can hop up on the tops of those
tanks, when he does, run around, so he doesn't smack you when he jumps off.



Invincibility:

At the load game screen, press Down, Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Left, L, R, R, L, C-Up, C-Down. If
you entered the code correctly, the game will return to the main menu.


Super Stamina:

For limited invulnerability, mix the green, blue and red herbs in that order.
You MUST mix the herbs in that order, or they will not work. Green and Blue
MUST be mixed together first, then you add the red herb.

Hints:



Randomizer mode:

Successfully complete the game with both scenarios. When starting a new game, a
choice for original or randomizer mode will appear after selecting your character
and difficulty settings. Randomizer mode places items and objects randomly throughout the game.


Unlimited weapons:

Complete either character's first scenario without saving the game in under 2.5 hours
with an A or B ranking for the special rocket launcher. Complete either character's second
scenario without saving the game in under 2.5 hours with an A or B ranking for the special
gatling gun. Complete either character's second scenario without saving the game in under 3
hours with a A or B ranking for the special machine gun. The special weapon will appear in the
next game after the first chest is opened.


Hunk scenario:

Complete Claire or Leon's second scenario saving less than twelve times with a end time of
under two hours and thirty minutes. Hunk is a soldier that must reach the second floor of the
police station from the sewer with just battles and no puzzles.


Tofu scenario:

Complete either character's first and second scenarios in less than three hours. Play the game
again with the other character, and also complete their first and second scenarios in less than
three hours. Play the game a third time and complete either character's first and second scenarios
again in less than three hours. Note: The game must saved less than twelve times during each of the
six scenarios played and unlimited weapons must not be used. Tofu is a piece of tofu (food) that must
reach the second floor of the police station from the sewer with just battles and no puzzles.
Tofu can not use any weapons other than a knife.


Ranking system:

To get an A ranking, beat the game in under three hours and do not use any First Aid sprays. Herbs,
however, may be used. To get a B ranking, successfully complete the game in under three hours.
To get a C ranking, finish the game in five to seven hours. For a D rating, finish the game in
seven hours or more. Note: The rank will be lowered by one grade if any special weapons are used,
or if the game was saved more than twelve times.


Shoot the screen:

While playing Leon's scenario, take the unlimited ammunition shotgun and go to the roof where the
helicopter crashed. Stand near the door leading inside, and make sure that a close-up view of Leon
appears. Aim the shotgun at the screen and fire. Bullet holes will appear. Note: This may also be
done at any location where Leon can aim at the screen with the shotgun.

Another way to do this is when Leon in the gun shop after the zombies killed the man. Get the shot gun
from him and go to the bus that has crashed. Make sure you do not use the shot gun while going to the bus.
Once inside the bus, kill the two zombies (on the floor and walking). Go to the back of the bus, where Leon
entered, and aim at the screen.



Dead Hunter:

Unlock the room in the Lab which requires two people to enter. In the Culture Experiment Room is find
a dead Hunter from the first Resident Evil game and a group of strange experiments.


Getting the Precinct Key:

Go to the second floor, kill the Licker, and then go to the room with a door with S.T.A.R.S. written on it.
Get the diary (green book), get the unicorn medal, talk to your "friend", and go down the stairs back to the
fountain in the hall. Stand in front of the fountain and use the unicorn medal.


Regaining the Precinct Key:

If you discarded the Precinct Key, you can regain in the room where you put the Red Jewels into the statues.
Search the crates on the left side of the statue to find the it. You can also find H. Gun Ammo and an Ink Ribbon in this room.
